During this Holiday break, I had a little more time to browse through some of my books – old friends to me. One of them was “The Magic of Watercolor” by James Fletcher-Watson (1913-2004). I love to look at his superb watercolors of country scenes and townscapes. Today I decided to see what would happen if I tried to imitate his style (I know, I know…you can stop laughing now...). I soon found out that his style is inimitable at least by me. In any event, here I leave the sad imitation. I hope Mr. Fletcher-Watson will forgive me.
